CHARACTERS
PRINCE & AUNT LESDA
The red haired prince’s family have human forms. His mother and her sister, Lesda, have red hair. He has lived on Earth, with Aunt Lesda, amongst humans, since he came to earth, about five years ago, escaping from enemies who want to kill him. He is 10 years old and familiar, although sometimes confused, by the customs of earthlings. He wonders why earthlings brush their teeth before breakfast in the morning, when the teeth are clean, but not after breakfast when the food has stained the teeth. (26th Nov. 2021, the first tweet of this story). He and his aunt strive to follow the customs of earth and fit in, to disguise their alien origins. Aunt Lesda loves his three close school friends, Sarah (Ara*), Artee (Art*) and Lenne (Len*) . Note that the nicknames* are used in the twitter story (@SamudhramAnanda)
SCHOOL FRIENDS: ARA, LEN AND ART
Sarah, Artee and Lenne met the prince at various school activities and became close friends. They love to solve mathematical and word based puzzles. Sarah is 15 years old. She is in the school’s debate club and met the prince when she was helping the younger students to prepare for a debate competition. Lenne is 12. She loves art and drawing. She met Art during a school project, where the students drew murals for the school. She is impressed by the prince’s realistic depiction of dragons, and his deep knowledge of these mystical beings. Artee is 11 years old and represents the school in chess competitions. He met the prince at a chess club meeting. They have become trusted family friends of the prince and know about his alien origins. Their families and other friends, however, do not know this.
GUARDIANS: SCAD, KAT AND DON
The prince’s three guardians are Scada (Scad, dragon), Kathleen (Kat, kitten) and Donnee (Don, puppy). The three guardians have accompanied his from Marrinat. Their special gifts help to keep the prince safe. Scada is a battle dragon, capable of casting fire on enemies. Kat is psychic and is able to contact the prince’s mind psychically, anywhere on earth. Don has a very keen sense of smell and hearing, and is able to detect approaching enemies from a distance. The children love the guardians and ride on Scad in some of their adventures.
THE SAGE AND XILEN
The children meet the Sage and his dragon, Xilen, on the magical planet Marrinat. The Sage introduces Marrinat’s magical plants to the children. This includes the bloom of visions that shows past and current events. Xilen is a powerful battle dragon that helps to protect the gardens of the Sages, and the Sage rides on Xilen in his missions.
EVIL DRAGONS: VIL, VIB AND GYOR
The three evil dragons, Vil, Vib and Gyor, are brothers. They have killed off all other battle dragons on Marrinat, including the parents of Xilen and Scad. Xilen was taken into the hidden gardens of the Sages, and Scad was sent to earth, to protect them from these killings. Vil is killed in a battle with Scad. His brothers are seeking revenge. They have attacked and burnt the village of the Chiroptex, who are friends of the Sage.
CHIROPTEX
The Chiroptex are able to transform from furry white bats with bright orange ears and noses to human like forms covered in luxurious white fur. They undertake a variety of tasks, such as ferrying passengers on boats and tailoring. They are the prince’s and Sages’ friends.
VISOURS
The visours deceive others by replicating any form. They are enemies of the prince and the Sages. The visours, however, are not able to mimic the powers of the replicated forms. For example, they cannot throw fire or fly as fast as the real dragons, although their transformed forms cannot be differentiated from that of the dragons that they mimic.
LORD OF EVILORE
The realm of Evilore lies to the west of the gardens of Sages. The lord of Evilore, with the help of the evil dragons, has killed the king and usurped the king’s power. He views the prince as a threat to his rule. He wants to kill the prince. The prince has taken refuge on earth.
